Andrew Hyde is in charge of all things community at Techstars, and you will often see him with a device in hand—recording all of the memories being created this summer. But don’t be fooled into thinking that Andrew is just the ‘camera dude…’ because I am finding out day after day that there is so much more to this guy.

For instance, I was showing Brett Jackson the t-shirts my team created as a spoof on Andrew’s “Don’t Pitch Me, Bro” VC Wear shirt, and he exclaimed, “I love VC Wear! Wait, Andrew started VC Wear?”

It reminded me of my own question when Ignighter told me Andrew was helping them out with design work: “Wait, Andrew is a designer?”

Or how about the time when I emailed the ‘webmaster’ of Startup Drinks to inquire about problems with the RSS feed, and I get an email back from…you got it, Andrew Hyde. (Wait, Andrew Hyde started Startup Drinks?)

Soooo, it looks like Andrew is a startup extraordinaire (Startup Weekend), a practical problem-solver (Group List), a community catalyst (Techstars Community), a wacky wear guy (VC Wear) and a social sweetheart (Startup Drinks). I’ve also heard some rumors about some political design workshop?
